What justpoll is

justpoll is a free, anonymous-by-default polling app. You can vote on polls without an account, publish your own questions with an email, and embed polls on other sites. These terms govern that use.

Your account & magic links

There are no passwords. You sign in by entering your email and clicking a one-time link we send to that address. The link expires in 15 minutes and works once.

Your email is your account identifier. It is never shown publicly — you appear as the part before the @. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address you sign in with.

Voting & anonymity

Votes are stored against a random per-device identifier, never your name or email. Results are shown only in aggregate. Nobody — including poll creators or the justpoll team — can see how an individual voted.

One vote per poll per device is enforced server-side. Polls marked daily, weekly, or monthly re-open for you after that interval. This is an honesty aid, not a guarantee; that is why tallies show trust tiers (all votes vs. registered voters) so you can judge what you are looking at.

Content you publish

When you publish a poll, you are responsible for its question and options. Do not publish content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or that invades someone's privacy.

You grant justpoll a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the poll you submitted and to aggregate its results. Polls can be removed by the master account for abuse or at our discretion.

AI-generated & market content

The “What's actually known” summary on each poll is drafted by AI at publish time and may be inaccurate. Treat it as a starting point, not a source of truth. Linked sources are provided so you can verify.

Market odds (e.g. Polymarket) are third-party data shown for context and attribution. justpoll does not create or guarantee that data, and it is not financial or betting advice.

Acceptable use

You may not attempt to manipulate tallies at scale, circumvent the one-vote-per-device limit programmatically, overload the service, or access another person's account.

Automated voting, scripted account creation, and bulk request generation are prohibited. We may rate-limit or block access to protect the integrity of the results.

Your data & deletion

Optional attributes you share (country, age band, gender, field) are stored separately from your votes and shown only in aggregate. You can remove them anytime from your profile.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We will erase your email, attributes, and authored polls; aggregated, anonymous vote counts remain.

No warranty & liability

justpoll is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Poll results reflect self-selected participants and are not statistically representative. Do not rely on them for decisions of consequence.

To the extent permitted by law, justpoll is not liable for damages arising from use of, or reliance on, the service or its content.

Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
